About "The Corgi Lady" - Lee English
My husband and I own a small horse farm southwest of Ocala, Florida. Here we board retired horses and raise Welsh Corgis. I also judge horse shows and run my dogs in agility trials.
Although I have had owned dogs all my life, I received my first Corgi in 1989 as a gift from my husband, David. I have been hooked on Corgis ever since.
Our Corgi puppies are born in our house and stay inside until they are 4 weeks old. They then go out to our puppy kennels with their mothers. They live in big 12x12 shavings filled stalls until they go home with their buyers. The puppies have their own puppy yard in which they get to play twice a day. As they get older their time out in their yard gets longer and longer. They get lots of fresh air and have many toys to play with. Of course, every now and then I have to round up all their toys, as the adult Corgis steal them for themselves.
Our pups are dewormed every two weeks and get their first vaccinations at 6 weeks of age. At 8 weeks they get their second vaccination at the vets office with a complete check-up for their health papers, dewormed again and are given a Bordetella Intranasal Vaccine. I then give them their first heartworm preventive and flea control. When you come to pick up your puppy I will have some puppy food to take home with you and a puppy packet that includes the health records, house training tips and other useful information.
I guarantee all of my Corgis and if you ever have a problem I will replace your puppy. I love Corgis, all Corgis and I want my buyers to love them as much as I do.
